Description
Stephanos is produced exclusively with a variety of olives typical of the Sicilian territory: Biancolilla, Cerasuola, Giarraffa, Nocellara del Belice, Nocellara Etnea.
In Sicily there is no family that does not have an olive grove whether small or large to produce olive oil for family use or for sale.
The olive harvest begins every year in October. During this period all the olive lovers and growers manage to free themselves from any commitment for a few days to devote themselves to the harvest of their olives. Seniors, children and professionals alike gather in the fields to pick the olives which will be pressed to make oil to be consumed throughout the year.
For most of us the olive harvest is not a job but a tradition, an anniversary, a moment to be in direct contact with nature, with families or friends.
Stephanos is a careful selection of extra virgin olive oils obtained from the first pressing of olives coming exclusively from the olive groves of the families of Santo Stefano Quisquina and from other counties that are part of the rural district of the Sicani Mountains.
The oil we offer you is the oil that we eat!
