ABOUT SICILIA FREDDA
Sicily is the largest island in Italy and in the Mediterranean.
The sea is one of the main attractions of the island but the territory is mainly hilly and mountainous and Sicilia Fredda was born precisely to give a gastronomic identity to the mountainous territories typical of the hinterland , which seem to have frozen past traditions.
This part of the territory, also known in part as the rural district of the Sicani Mountains, is characterized by uncontaminated landscapes rich in water, hilly mountains which reach 1200m above sea level for an extension of 43,687 ha.
Precisely in this part of Sicilia Fredda (italian for ‘cold Sicily’) there are hundreds of small companies that put together represent a commercial group of a very high value.
Sicilia Fredda was born with the intention of giving a powerful commercial entity to this very large part of the territory which is as rich as little known to the world.
In our territory the past is still present and we will also enable it to become the future. We have managed to maintain the traditions and production methods of our ancestors and we have been looking for the perfect combination of raw materials and technology.
